dc.description.abstractSequential extraction is a widely used method for evaluating mobility, bioavailability, and metal toxicity. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate the extraction of aluminum, chromium, cobalt, copper, cadmium, lead, and zinc through four different sequential extraction methodologies using the soil from Ponta Grossa - PR, which, according to its physical-chemical characteristics, are classified as a dystrophic red latosol. The results obtained in this work demonstrated great relevance in the variables among the methodologies, such as the influence of volume, temperature, extraction time, and the extraction reagent. The evaluation of the several stages of sequential extraction aimed to estimate the behavior, aiming at the bioavailable fraction of the mentioned metallic species, was also possible since high pseudo-total values of chromium were observed in the analyzed soil, exceeding the permitted values by legislation, however, in a less mobile form connected to the mineralogical part of the soil was also observed for cadmium and zinc, pointing out that environmental legislation should not consider only the total concentration when evaluating the potentially toxic effects of metallic species. Nevertheless, a small fraction of cadmium and zinc seems to be in a labile form, indicating their source as anthropogenic activities. Changes in conditions such as pH and ionic strength can mobilize them into the interstitial solution and make them available.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoA extração sequencial vem sendo muito utilizada em estudos de avaliação da mobilidade, biodisponibilidade e toxicidade de metais. Dessa forma este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a extração de alumínio, cromo, cobalto, cobre, cádmio, chumbo e zinco, através de quatro metodologias de extração sequencial distintas, utilizando o solo de Ponta Grossa - PR o qual de acordo com as características físico-químicas é classificado como latossolo vermelho distrófico. Os resultados obtidos neste trabalho demonstram grande relevância nas variáveis dentre as metodologias como a influência do volume, temperatura e tempo de extração, bem como o reagente extrator. A avaliação das diversas etapas da extração sequencial, com a finalidade de estimar o comportamento, visando a fração biodisponível das espécies metálicas mencionadas, também foi possível, uma vez que foi observado altos valores pseudo totais de cromo no solo analisado, esses acima dos valores permitidos pela legislação, no entanto encontrado de forma pouco móvel – ligado a parte mineralógica do solo, o que também foi observado para cádmio e zinco, apontando que as legislações ambientais não devem considerar a concentração total ao avaliar os potenciais efeitos tóxicos das espécies metálicas. Contudo, uma pequena fração de cádmio e zinco demonstra estar em forma lábil, sendo um indicativo da fonte desses elementos ser as atividades antrópicas, onde as alterações das condições como pH e força iônica podem mobilizá-los para solução intersticial e disponibilizá-los.pt_BR
